Conference Site
The conference is organized from April 21st, 2008 to April 25th, 2008 in Hôtel du Général d'Entraigues ★★★, a hotel in the old city of Uzès assembled from private houses of the 17th and 18th centuries. Conference attendee will be staying at the hotel thus having optimal access to both the conference talks and city sights by foot.
Travel Information
Registration opens on Monday April 21st, 2008 in the afternoon. The conference will begin with a welcome party starting at 7pm. It is strongly advised to arrive well before 7pm to be able to taste the delicate french wine and cheese.
Conference ends on Friday April 25th, 2008 after lunch.
Uzès is close to Avignon (a 40 minutes drive), which is easily accessible from Paris, Lyons or Marseilles by TGV (high speed train).
Transfer will be provided between the conference site and Avignon International Airport (code: AVN) or Avignon TGV station. Participants needing transfer have to contact Victor.Poupet[at]lif.univ-mrs.fr before April 15th, 2008 with subject line [JAC] transfer providing precise informations: passenger names, time of arrival, flight number or train number.
Conference participants from abroad are advised to take a TGV train from Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (code: CDG) to Avignon TGV station. A TGV travel from CDG to Avignon TGV takes about 3 hours.
Very few public transportations are available on site (STDG shuttles between Uzès and Avignon). Car rental is available at airport and TGV station. Please be aware that no parking slots will be provided at the conference site.
