Scope
The theme of the conference will be algorithmic randomness (Kolmogorov complexity) and its connections to:
- Mathematical logic
- Classical computability and degrees
- Computable analysis (measures, martingales, Hausdorff dimension, etc.)
- Dynamical systems
- Computational complexity and pseudo-randomness
- Combinatorics
- ...
Submission
If you wish to give a talk at this conference, please send an abstract of a few pages to lce@lif.univ-mrs.fr before March 1st, 2009. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent no later than April 1st, 2009.
Fees and support
There is no registration fee for this conference. Accomodation and meals are provided at the CIRM for 75 euros per day (includes 1 night in single room, breakfast, 2 meals) or 65 euros (includes 1 night in double room, breakfast, 2 meals). We have a very limited amount of funding to support the local expenses of some participants. Please let us know if you wish to apply for such support. Additionaly, this meeting is sponsored by the Association of Symbolic Logic. Students who are members of the ASL can apply for travel grants here.
